Low Back Pain Program
Address The Root Cause & Relieve Your Pain
Resolving your sciatica pain/disc herniation requires two very specific components: your Directional Preference and learning how to decompress your back. These two components have to happen in a specific order with a specific frequency to maximize your results. Whether you are looking for guidance for what you should be doing and/or looking to fully resolve your symptoms, get started today!
Check out our video below and see if this program is right for YOU!
Our 2 Step Process
Rather than chasing symptoms and performing all kinds of stretches and exercises in the hopes of something working or giving lasting relief, we’ve cut through all the fluff and boiled it down to 2 phases.
Phase 1:
The first phase is centered around decompressing your nerve in order to progressively reduce your symptoms and allow your nerve to heal.
Phase 2:
The second phase is about decompressing your back (spine and muscles) after you’ve eliminated your nerve symptoms. This is especially important when it comes to helping you confidently return to the activities you want to return to and helping prevent the pain from returning.

It is not uncommon to have no low back pain but have radicular symptoms into your hip, leg and/or foot. In order to resolve those symptoms you still want to centralize symptoms, which is what this program will help you achieve!
This Program Is For You If:
One or more of the symptoms below are true:
Your pain increases and/or peripheralizes (travels into your hip, thigh, calf and/or foot) with sitting and/or with the Toe Touch Test
The symptomatic side feels tighter than the other
Not Your Average Low Back Pain Program
We specialize in helping active individuals who have been to various providers and feel like they’ve exhausted all their options not only get out of pain, but return to the activities and sports they love pain free.
In particular, we’ve found that individuals with disc herniations are the most underserved with respect to efficient and effective conservative treatment options. The symptoms can manifest in various ways and may resemble something else, commonly leading to misdiagnosis and therefore an ineffective treatment strategy. Other times, even with a confirmed disc herniation the treatment strategies lack organization, specificity and become ineffective.
Although we’ve always treated people in-person, the truth is the treatment strategy we implement for disc herniations is simple to follow, can be done completely independently and does not require any tools, devices or hands on techniques (band-aids).
After collectively and successfully treating thousands of individuals with low back pain over the years, we wanted to make this information more accessible so that more people like you could save their time, energy and money and get the results they are looking for.
About Me
Born in Dublin, Ireland and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, I moved to Boston, MA to attend Northeastern University where I received my Bachelors in Movement & Rehabilitation Sciences and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Early on in my career I became obsessed with biomechanics and their influence on rehab and performance. The thing is, there are so many factors influencing our biomechanics and movement patterns that everything is a lot more nuanced than it seems.
The more I learned, the more I realized how little we as a profession know… and we’re supposed to be considered the movement experts!
The bright side to all this was that after founding Empowered Performance PT, we were able to start helping all those who had tried and been unsuccessful with conservative treatments and began specializing in “complex” cases that as it turned out, were never as complex as they were led to believe!
I have been very fortunate to work with a variety of high school, collegiate, professional and olympic athletes, but the majority of who I see are recreational athletes and individuals with complex cases who have not had success with conservative care elsewhere.
